Link building is the SEO service most likely to be sold badly in this market, and the one that decides the closest races.
Why links still matter in a crowded market
Dubai has more agencies per business than almost any market its size, which means the visible commercial searches are contested by companies with real budgets and competent sites. When two pages answer a query equally well, authority is what separates them.
That is the whole argument for links. Not volume, not domain scores, but the question of which page a search engine has more reason to trust.
What a safe campaign looks like
Three activities, run together over months rather than weeks:
- Editorial outreach to UAE and international publications that have their own readers.
- Digital PR: data, commentary or a story a journalist has a reason to cover.
- Citation and profile work, which feeds local rankings as much as authority.
Before any of it, an audit of what already points at your domain. Most sites that have worked with an agency before are carrying links doing active harm. The full scope is set out under link building services.
Three signs to walk away
A fixed monthly link count. Real placements depend on the story and the sector. A guaranteed forty links a month means somebody is buying them.
Refusing to name the sites. If a provider will not tell you where a link will appear before it appears, assume you would not like the answer.
An all exact-match anchor plan. The fastest route to a penalty, and entirely avoidable with a natural anchor mix planned in advance.
How long before it shows
Usually one to three months from placement, because the linking page has to be crawled and your page reassessed. Digital PR spikes can move faster. Anything promising a ranking jump inside a fortnight is either targeting searches nobody runs or doing something you will have to undo.
